I thought I would be sad for The Girl's first day of Kindergarten but it was hard to be sad when she was so excited. We spent the entire week before school started getting ready. We bought her bookbag and picked out her outfit for the first day of school. I took her to my hair salon and she got her first big girl haircut, complete with layers and everything. We went and got our nails done. It was a fun week for both of us and I'm so glad that I had that time with her.
I drove the kids nuts taking pictures on the morning of the first day of school. They don't understand how much they will appreciate these pictures later on when they have their own families. I love looking back at how much The Tween has grown from Kindergarten to fourth grade.
Big Daddy took the morning off so he could come with us to take The Girl to her first day of Kindergarten. We were so happy to find out that The Girl has the same teacher that Boy2 had for his second year of Kindergarten, we just adore this teacher. The Girl was so excited to walk in and find her name at her very own desk.
It was so strange to just have The Toddler at home that first day. It was so quiet, even though quiet is not a word that would ever be used to describe The Toddler. He kept staring out the window waiting for the big kids to come home. We walked down to the end of the street (only about 3 houses down) to wait for the bus so I could thoroughly embarass The Tween by taking pictures as they came off the bus. Ha!

They grow up so fast! My little baby girl is a big Kindergartener now! Next up in the plans- preschool for The Toddler.
